No job too small (or large!) Whether it’s a cracked socket faceplate or a whole house rewire, we’ll be happy to provide a quote. Areas we cover are Reading, the rest of Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and North Hampshire. Some of the things we can help with:

  • Rewires/extensions – if you require any of your house rewiring, or are extending it and want to add circuits, we can help.
  • Home Office-if you are thinking of building a home office in your garden please allow us to quote for the electrical work.
  • Broken sockets or fittings. Bathroom light pull-cord broken? Broken lightbulb/lamp in a light fitting? Smashed or cracked socket or light switch? No job too small, we can help.
  • Intruder alarms – we can design and install intruder alarms (including smart-connectivity) as well as servicing existing alarms and replacing batteries.
  • Electrical work involved in new kitchens or bathrooms.
  • New lights – whether you have bought (or would like to buy) a new light fitting and need to have it installed, or want some inspiration or advice on lighting, we’re happy to help.
  • Replacement showers and immersion heaters – we’re all too aware that the hard water in the Thames Valley area means that things like this have a shorter lifespan than usual! We can replace these for you so you’re not without hot water for too long.
  • Electrical fault finding – if your fuseboard keeps tripping, we can help you. However, in the interest of saving you money (and getting your power back on as soon as possible), please try the steps below first:
    • With the fuseboard (or the switch that keeps tripping) switched off, turn off all appliances on the affected circuit(s).
    • Flip the switch back up. If it stays up, turn on all the appliances one by one. If the switch trips again when you turn something back on, that’s the culprit (it’s often a water-containing appliance: washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, iron, etc). We are unable to fix appliances so you can see if it can be fixed or returned (especially if still under warranty), or alternatively it’s time to replace it.
    • If this doesn’t work, then please give us a call on  0118 967 7033 or contact us on the various methods on our Contact Us page.
